Dani Out Of Wimbledon

It may not have ended the way she wanted, but at least she's back on the courts, battling it out - Daniela fell first round at Wimbledon, though it was a very tight straight set loss to in-form American Jamie Hampton.

Daniela, who had missed the entire clay court season with a foot injury and started playing again at Birmingham and Eastbourne, fought for an hour and 43 minutes and had some very clean numbers - 22 winners, 15 unforced errors - but after a tough second set tie-break would eventually succumb to Hampton in straight sets, 64 76(1).

Daniela's next tournament will be the Olympics at the end of the month, as she is one of two players representing Slovakia in singles (with Dominika Cibulkova) and part of the only doubles team (partnering Cibulkova).
